About the Role

We are seeking a detail oriented and disciplined analyst to support and grow our capital markets function focused on residential real estate lending. You’ll be a part of a fast-paced environment, interacting closely with capital markets loan investors (such as Nomura Securities, PIMCO and others), Tier One’s accounting/finance team and internal lending ops teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up environment, with the ability to scope and execute projects and tasks independently with high attention to detail. You’ll need to have strong interpersonal and analytical skills. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s financing, liquidity, and investment activities. This position is responsible for analyzing capital market trends, assisting with loan sales, managing relationships with investors, and supporting treasury and funding operations. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Financing & Funding Support

  • Assist in the execution and management of warehouse lines

  • Monitor borrowing base, advance rates, and collateral requirements

  • Support interest and fee reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and capital utilization analysis

2. Loan Sales & Secondary Market Activities

  • Prepare and review loan tapes, settlement packages, and related documentation for whole loan sales

  • Coordinate with custodians, investors, and internal teams to facilitate due diligence and resolve exceptions

  • Track loan sales pipeline, pricing feedback, and transaction execution timelines

3. Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze macroeconomic, rate, and credit market trends impacting funding costs and investor appetite

  • Prepare internal reporting on loan performance, capital markets activity, and investor relations

  • Maintain and update financial models to assess loan sale profitability, cost of capital, and funding strategies

4. Asset Management

  • Monitor performance of loans, produce reporting and communicate trends to stakeholders

  • Coordinate with servicers and custodians

  • Manage risk by identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration and engage as necessary with non-performance/default

  • Prepare for securitization of assets

5. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, covenants, and internal policies

  • Support audit, investor, and counterparty reporting requirements

  • Assist in implementing best practices for risk controls, reconciliations, and documentation management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical or financial role, preferably capital markets, structured finance or investment banking.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and financial modeling required.

  • Familiarity with loan sales, securitizations, warehouse lines, or structured credit preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
